24/7 Roadside Semi Truck Service

Truck Trouble Doesn’t Always Require a Tow

A truck stopped halfway through a delivery puts the driver and dispatch on the same question: can it be fixed there?

Caveman Towing & Repair provides 24/7 roadside service for semi-trucks throughout Southern Oregon and Northern California. Our mobile diesel crews repair common truck and trailer problems. Dedicated tire service trucks handle commercial tire calls, and heavy wreckers are available when the job needs a shop.

You can work through the breakdown with one company instead of starting another search if roadside repair doesn’t solve it.

Repairs Where the Truck Stopped

Regens are among our most frequent roadside repair calls. Our technicians also handle coolant leaks, air leaks, and hub seals—problems that can interrupt a route without necessarily sending the truck to a repair bay.

Describe the symptoms and any dashboard warnings when arranging service. If the driver has already attempted a repair, include that information. It helps our crew prepare for what’s happening at the truck rather than arriving with only “it broke down.”

Roadside access matters, too. A truck in an open yard offers different working conditions from one beside moving traffic. We consider location and repair needs before deciding how to proceed.

Commercial Tire Trouble

A tire failure on a loaded combination isn’t a passenger-car spare change. Caveman operates dedicated tire change service for commercial vehicles, including truck and trailer tire assistance.

Have the affected tire’s position and size available if you can identify them safely. Mention wheel damage and whether the vehicle is loaded. Dispatch can discuss the service available for that tire and location before sending assistance.

We work with owner-operators and fleet dispatchers, including companies arranging help for drivers far from their regular tire provider.

Fuel, Starting Problems & Locked Cabs

An empty tank or keys locked inside can stop a route just as effectively as a mechanical failure. Caveman provides:

For fuel delivery, specify the fuel type. For starting trouble, explain what happens when the driver tries the ignition. Our team can then discuss the appropriate roadside service.

Driver on Scene. Dispatch Across the Country.

You don’t have to be a local fleet to get help from Caveman. We work with the person beside the truck and the people arranging service remotely.

When dispatch makes a request, provide the driver’s direct contact information. A mile marker and direction of travel help us locate a highway breakdown; at a terminal or customer facility, entrance instructions can save a search around the property.

Our team uses Towbook to manage service requests. If the situation changes before arrival, update dispatch. For example, if the truck has moved to a nearby lot or the driver has identified a leak.

When Roadside Repair Becomes a Tow

Major mechanical work belongs in a shop. If repairs are expected to take more than an hour or two roadside, towing can be the practical next step.

Caveman operates four 35-ton wreckers and two 25-ton wreckers for commercial towing. We can transport the disabled truck to your designated repair facility and discuss trailer arrangements if it isn’t traveling with the tractor.

We also have after-hours gate access at participating partner shops. That allows delivery when their offices are closed, rather than holding up the tow until morning. Confirm the destination with dispatch so we can establish the drop-off arrangements.
