Off-Road Recovery Services
Winch-Outs, Ditch Pulls & Recovery for Stuck Vehicles
Wheels spinning without getting anywhere?
Caveman Towing & Repair provides 24/7 off-road recovery throughout Southern Oregon and Northern California. We recover cars from muddy driveways, RVs stuck at campsites, and loaded trucks that have slipped off the road.
Our fleet includes a heavy duty off-road winch truck and a 50-ton rotator, backed by experienced recovery operators. You don’t have to find someone with a bigger pickup or risk damaging another vehicle trying to pull yours free.
Stop Digging Yourself In
Repeated attempts to drive out can leave the vehicle sitting lower, with less clearance beneath it. Once the wheels keep spinning or the vehicle starts sliding, stop and arrange recovery.
Caveman assists with:
The nearest address helps us reach the area, but the vehicle’s position explains the job. A pickup beside a driveway presents a different recovery from one below a steep bank. Describe where it stopped and whether there’s an accessible route to it.
If It’s Stuck, We Can Help Recover It
Our recovery services go beyond standard passenger-vehicle winch-outs. We assist trucking companies with large commercial vehicles stranded off the roadway and help contractors recover machinery at construction sites. Our equipment also helps RV owners in difficult campground conditions. Whatever you’re operating, call us when your vehicle becomes immobilized.
A Pull in the Wrong Direction Can Make Things Worse
You can’t simply drag a vehicle leaning against a ditch bank toward the road. The wheels can catch, the body can contact the ground, or the vehicle can shift as it comes free.
Our operators examine the recovery path before positioning equipment. Soft ground affects our truck as well as yours, and the closest parking spot isn’t always a suitable place to work from.
That’s where recovery experience counts. We plan how to bring the vehicle out while accounting for its clearance and any existing damage.

Loaded Trucks & Heavy Machinery
A loaded trailer can sink into a shoulder while the tractor remains on pavement. Pulling on the tractor alone doesn’t address what is happening behind it. Our crews assess the trailer and its load before beginning the recovery.
Caveman’s four 35-ton wreckers and two 25-ton wreckers support commercial recovery work alongside our off-road winch truck and rotator. We also provide cargo transfers and load corrections when displaced freight prevents a truck from moving.
Contractors can arrange recovery for machinery stranded away from the loading area. Once accessible, we can haul disabled equipment on our Landoll, lowboy/RGN, or drop-deck trailers. You can book recovery and hauling together, so you don’t have a second job to organize afterward.
Getting It Out Is Only Part of the Job
Being back on firm ground doesn’t necessarily mean it’s ready to drive. A damaged wheel or steering component can keep a recovered vehicle off the road. Caveman provides towing for passenger vehicles and commercial trucks, with long-distance transport available to your designated repair facility.
For diesel vehicles, our mobile repair crews also work on coolant leaks, air leaks, hub seals, and regens. Dispatch can discuss the reported problem and whether roadside service is appropriate.
Commercial customers also have access to after-hours delivery at participating partner repair shops. We can confirm those arrangements while organizing the tow.
